X-Men_Forever_01Comic book fans are wonder why comics so often return to their status quo and why things never really change permanently. Why they are never taken seriously as an art form despite the works of Alan Moore or Frank Miller. Well this is why! You can’t let go of the past can you? You want comics to always be the same. How else can you explain ‘X-Men Forever’ needing a second printing run? I know you haven’t purchased this comic for its quality as I’ve read it and it is typical 21st century Claremont. By that I mean it is utter swill. All the usual criticisms apply, you know what they are so I won’t get into them now. Why not just reprint some of the good Claremont stories from before he lost what talent he had rather than giving him the opportunity to continue where he left off, trying to ruin the X-Men? It is not the 1990′s anymore, thank the gods, just let it go already.

To the people who purchased this comic: I hate you all for making me have such a downer on the comicdom. That goes to all the people planing to buy the insipid continuation of the diabolical Clone Saga too. You are worse than the people who liked “One More Day” all of you. I hope you all get infected paper cuts. And damn you Marvel for preventing Chris Claremont from retiring.
